Reguis Academy

Situated in the forest near the town of Hamel in the northern parts of the United Kingdom, Reguis Academy is a prestigeous, yet secluded institution for the development of the future intellectuals of the world.

Albeit not as grand and as famous as many other establishments, it boasts with offering the peace and tranquility of nature's essence, which acts as a repellent from stress, anxiety and every other negative influence a grandious school may cause with its reputation or a busy city would with its noisy everyday life. With the charm of old traditional England, the serene vision of nature and many dignified scholars, the academy attracts candidates each and every year, yet few are admitted, with the precise system of approval still remaining a mystery for outsiders, students and the majority of the teachers.

Reguis follows the educational system of the UK accordingly by being a secondary school, meaning it teaches young people from the ages of 16 until 18 years, with some rare exceptions. It resides within a mansion several hundred years old, but renovated and in absolute perfect condition. However, simply because its style is that of England's old age does not mean it has not been fitted into the modern world.

The building has three storeys, not including the attick and underground floor, and is relatively in the shape of the letter "U". The base of this letter is where the enormous double doors of dark polished wood of the entrance are placed. One can reach it from the outside by climbing up several light gray stone steps of a set of stairs, of which there are two, one on each side of a small stone podium in front of the entrance. After stepping past the front door, one will find themselves in an elegant grand hall with a clean cream and brown chequered marble floor,

illuminated by the light coming in from the tall windows beside the door, draped in soft cream curtains, or from the electric chandelier hanging high above the heads of mortals. This first room is ofttimes used during entrance ceremonies, special announcements and events, as well as for a central orientation point and presentation, for there are many signs directing one's attention towards the various paths they may chose. There is also a large touch-screen board hanged on the wall to the right, on which are displayed the weather forecast, notes regarding recruitments, festivities and upcoming occassions, notifications about lost and found items and the time at present. Students may chose to check the timetable of their class from here or put up a sign for others to see.

Directly across from the entrance to the other side of the hall is another double door which is usually kept open and leads to the large dining hall, where long wooden tables are covered in white covers with a yellow rose pattern, wooden chairs standing in a neat orderly row on each of their sides. Every morning at half past six, at twelve o'clock at noon and at eight o'clock at night meals are served in this very place and the atmosphere becomes thick and hot from the many breaths of hungry loud youngsters demanding nourishment. The teachers have a separate table, the one furthest to the left, which is always properly ordered and decorated at all times. The space within the room itself is figuratively divided into a left and right half.

To the left, as mentioned, is the teacher's table, where all members of staff sit down, and two tables for the students in their final year of study. Furthermore, half of the bottom wall to the left has been replaced by a long counter and a large opening, from which can be seen the numerous cooks hustling and bustling in the kitchen labyrinth in the room nextdoor. Outside the set mealtimes students may come to request snacks or drinks, but each is allowed only three of each per day and, in order to keep track of this, every student is given a card, which they must hand over to the person behind the counter, so that the food or drink can be marked.

To the right are four tables, two for each year of students, and at the wall to the right - bathroom doors, one for girls and one for boys.

Between these two divisions is a free "corridor", which leads to a set of glass double doors that lead to the garden.

If we were to position ourselves once more just past the front door of the academy, both to the left and to the right would be a large doorless arch, sets of stairs and two balconies across the walls, all of beautiful bright marble. Beyond the arches are hallways, which make up each arm of the "U". Tall majestic windows on one side and a series of doors for the classrooms on the other, this is the first floor, which is reserved entirely for those in their last year of study. At the end of each hallway are the bathrooms.

The stairs in the grand hall lead to the second and third floor, which are reserved for the second and first years respectively. There are six classrooms on each floor in each arm, a total of twelve on every floor, with the final sum being thirty six. In the "right arm" are the general classrooms, which belong to a specific class. One belongs to the class with a specialty in Life Sciences, one to the one with a specialty in Mathematics and Technology, one to the specialty in Historic Concervation, one to the specialty in Literally Arts, one to the specialty in Music and one to the specialty in Linguistics. There is a staircase in the middle, between the third and the fourth room, which leads to the floor above. There are also such small staircases in the "left arm", but the rooms there are as follows: an art room, a computer room, a music room, a biology laboratory, a chemistry laboratory and a nurse's office.

Once more back in the entrance hall, beside the two grand doors to the dining hall are staircases, which lead upwards to the teacher's room on the second and the principal's office on the third floor, with there being balconies in front of the doors as well. The principal's office is the only modem hotspot on campus, which sends fast unlimited Internet at an increadibly great range across the academy's domain.

The library of Reguis is not outside, but under the academy's main building. Set up on three underground storeys, which are not separated by concrete, but by floors and stairs of sevel layers of perfectly maintained wood, one can reach this architectural wonder from two points. Each is a door located at the small platform in the middle of the stairs which lead from the first to the second floor. However, there are rumors that there are other ways to enter the library.

Beyond the dining hall's glass doors is Reguis Academy's Tea garden. A little paradise with a fountain at its center, three willow trees and sandy paths, the green patches have been strategically planted with different flowers, so that in every month there are colourful blossoms gracing the world. Around the fountain under the willows are placed white round tables with tree chairs at each, where a maid may serve you tea if you ask for it at the counter in the dining room.

Futher away from the garden is a lilly pond, after which is a football field with a track strip and seats for onlookers, to the right of which are three tennis courts and to the left - a sandy terrain for volleyball. The academy's gymnasium is located not too far from the fields, the paths to it being surrounded by birch trees. It has a large fitness saloon, two basketball courts, a volleyball court, two changing rooms for each of the two genders, an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor swimming pool.

The school dormitory is placed to the left of the academy building. It too is divided into a left and right wing, with the first being strictly reserved for girls and the second - for boys. The only point where the two sides meet is the first floor mixed lobby where there are guards of each gender

(homosexuals) guarding the entrance to their respective gender's part of the dorm, as well as the premices.

On each floor there are a total of eight rooms for students and one labled by the students as the "libroom". This specific room is connected to those above and below it, which are exactly the same as it, by a spiral staircase inside it, creating a four-storey miniature library, which students can use to easily access some of the most renowned classical and study books. There is such a "libroom tower" both in the right and in the left wing.
