Hamel is a small town in the northern parts of the United Kingdom. Once a flourishing mining center, it is now a shadow of its former exuberant self, slowly slipping into the mist of time. Albeit not yet truly resebling a ghost town, its population is about 25 thousand people, while it can house approximetly a total of seventy thousand, and the number of residents steadily declining. The atmosphere of this town,

unlike the bustling beehives in the south, is pleasantly monotone with there being almost no major events that can disturb the tranquility

of the flow of time. Hamel has a total of five areas, including the center, but is roughly divided by its townfolk into "Inner Wall", "Broken Wall" and "Beyond".

What is refered to as the "Inner Wall" is, in truth, the center of the town.

The border used to separate it from the rest of Hamel are the remains of a medieval wall that presumably once stood between

invaders and a castle. Unfortunately, due to the heavy and ignorant influence of industrialization and what followed after it, mostly

everything from ancient times has been destroyed, save for half of what is currently the protestant church and the wall itself, which

remains unmonitored and continues to fall into ruin.

At present, within the "Inner Wall" of Hamel are all the crucial buildings of every town. A guildhall, three banks, a library, a museum,

an art gallery, a theater (for both live play and movies), a kindergarten, a primary school, a police station, a fire bridage, a hospital,

a protestant church, a synagogue, five big restaurants, two big pizza places, two bookstores, seven cafes, six small supermarkets,

as well as many shops with the highest prices in Hamel and tall apartment blocks. The majority of the center is a strictly pedestrian area,

but the three major roads of Hamel - Charleston road, Rosewood lane and Richardson road - do encircle the area, further defining it as the town's heart.

The "Broken Wall" has been named such because of the lack of a middle or second wall, which is usually present in many medieval towns.

It is assumed that the physical wall was lost to time, but its memory lingers in the name of the area. As for the adjective "broken", it was

given long ago by the former elite of Hamel, which looked down on the imigrants and petty folk that attempted to set up business near the

center. Completely surrounding the "Inner Wall", this is a colourful middle class heaven of numerous brightly painted buildings. Pawnshops,

three small pizzerias, cafes, four meateries, four bookstores, a mosque, two churches (an orthodox and a catholic), two policlinics, five vet

clinics, a fruit and vegetable market and many shops with reasonable prices all call this area "home".

In the eastern part of the "Broken Wall" is located Hamel's park - "Littlebird Forest". A serene corner it truly is, with many pine and oak trees, tulip meadows, rose arches, little ponds and a rehabilitation center for wildlife.

"Beyond" is the final circle of Hamel. It houses most of the town's abandoned buildings and not without reason.

Rather than a simple periphery, it was once considered the apple of the town's future, where the youngsters would grow and expand in the coming glory of the modern age. The factories and concrete apartment buildings still stand, many still incomplete, gradually to become a pile of nothing.

But one should not assume that this is an abandoned area. Despite appearing empty, the little winding streets and alleys of litter have feet

stomping them each and every day. A large portion of the townsfolk live here, but prefer spending their time in the confines of the "Inner Wall", rather than here, where there are more inhabilable than habitable structures. Some do still find income here, such as fishmongers, mechanics, farmers selling their produce, pawnshop owners, technicians of any kind and those dwelling in the grey market. Hamel's three middle schools and two high-schools can be found in the "Beyond", yet one for the prior has been shut down and one of the latter - never finished.

Whilst the two remaining middle schools are well-maintained, the only high-school has found itself lacking funding and thus has beed degradating both physically and spiritually.
